Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Captureze.

1. What websites can I monitor?

You can monitor any publicly accessible website. For password-protected or logged-in pages, we don't currently support authentication, but this feature is on our roadmap.

2. How often can I take screenshots?

It depends on your plan. Free users can take screenshots every 6 hours, Starter users every hour, and Pro users every 15 minutes.

3. What's the maximum file size for screenshots?

There's no strict limit, but we optimize images for quality and file size. Full page screenshots of very long pages may take longer to capture.

4. How does visual diff detection work?

We compare each new screenshot pixel-by-pixel with the previous one and calculate a percentage difference. If it exceeds your threshold (default 1%), you'll be notified.

5. Can I capture full page screenshots?

Yes! Enable the 'Full Page' option when creating a schedule to capture the entire scrollable content of a page.

6. What happens to my screenshots when I cancel?

Your screenshots are retained for 30 days after cancellation. You can download them during this period. After that, they are permanently deleted.

7. Can I use my own storage?

Yes, Pro users can connect their own S3-compatible storage (AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, etc.) to store screenshots.

8. Is there a mobile app?

Not currently, but our web app is fully responsive and works well on mobile devices. We're considering a mobile app for the future.

9. Can I trigger screenshots via API?

Yes! Starter and Pro users have API access. You can trigger on-demand screenshots using the POST /api/schedules/:id/screenshot endpoint.

10. Do you support authentication/login for websites?

Not yet. We're working on adding support for monitoring authenticated pages. For now, only publicly accessible pages can be monitored.

11. What browsers do you use for screenshots?

We use Chromium (via Browserless) to capture screenshots, ensuring consistent rendering across all monitored sites.

12. Can I set a delay before capturing?

Yes, you can set a delay (in seconds) to wait after the page loads before capturing. This is useful for pages with animations or lazy-loaded content.

13. How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

14. Do you offer refunds?

Yes, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied, contact us for a full refund.

15. What timezone are screenshots scheduled in?

Screenshots are scheduled in UTC. The dashboard shows times in your local timezone for convenience.
